Gratitude Sale - Shamless Plug

Since I'm always giving away goodies for you to enjoy, this posting is my one big shamless plug for the year for you to endure. I mentioned yesterday that we are having a Gratitude Sale at Scrapable with everything 50% off storewide. News, Challenges, Sales, ....

I told you that I had a bunch of stuff to share with you this weekend so get ready for a long post. First off, I have made the decision to be an exclusive designer at Scrapable. This was a difficult decision for me because I wanted to remain loyal to the first store that gave me an opportunity to sell my designs but I simply did not have the time to devote to 2 stores due to our personal business taking up more and more time. The offer to be exclusive is a good opportunity for me to shift gears and do a little less juggling and will hopefully give me a little more time to design and learn from other designers through store collaboration kits and forum participation, which was not part of DigiScrapShop. To celebrate this good news, I decided to have a huge sale starting tomorrow June 1st through the 7th with everything in my store being 50% off. In addition, since I am now an exclusive designer, I decided to jump in with both feet this month so I'm hosting 2 challenges that I think will be a lot of fun. The first one is called Lazy Day Challenge and it works like this. I have selected a completed layout from our gallery at Scrapable and I will challenge you to scrap a layout in the same style but with your own personal touches. I've already completed my layout to get people started. Wanna see?!I was fortunate to have one of the designers at Scrapable let me use her kit to complete my layouts. It's a really fun kit from Spinky Dink Scraps titled "Spinky Spanky." Here's the kit preview. I love the bright colors, textures and acrylic elements that are included in this kit. If your interested, the preview is clickable and will take you to her store.Now the other challenge that I am hosting is a new one called Island Manuscript and it's right up my alley because I'm addicted to fonts. This challenge is going to be fun! Here's how it works. I give you a font and challenge you to use it on a layout. Sounds easy right! But I'm going to challenge you to use this font as much as possible on your layout, which could be a little tricky because the font I have chosen is fun and funky. I've completed a layout for this challenge as well. Can you figure out which font I'm using in the challenge?So since I'm hosting these 2 challenges, I thought it would be a perfect time to introduce another blog contest. Are you ready for another contest? This one is going to require some work. I would love to have you participate in 1 or both of the challenges I'm hosting at Scrapable. So here is what we are going to do:

Let me know you participated because I might not recognize you
I will gather up all the layouts and post in a slide show here on this blog
We will then vote for our favorite layout
Winner will receive a store coupon for 1 free kit of your choice

If enough people participate, I will orchestrate a vote on each challenge thus 2 winners, otherwise, we will just combine them all into 1 big contest. These challenges run the whole month of June so you have plenty of time to get in a layout. Here is the thread for forum. Under Island Challenges and Contests you will find a thread for each challenge. Simply look for either Lazy Day or Island Manuscript and I'll have all the instructions and the download link for the font we will be using. You have to register in order to participate but registration comes with it's own rewards so it's worth the effort.

I have one more thing to show you. Tomorrow we have a new store collaboration kit schedule for release titled "Pink Punk'in" that is really cool. This kit will sell for $6.00 and with each purchase you are then eligible to receive one of our other store collaboration kits absolutely free. Oh hey, I almost forgot. What do you think of my makeover? I decided to freshen up a bit and get rid of a few things, update a few things and do some general house cleaning. Now if I could just find the time to do this for myself.

Friday Freebie and a Challenge

Hi gals! Quick post to past along some information. If you have not taken the time to register in the forum at Scrapable, I'm going to give you two tempting reasons to surf on over and have fun with us in Paradise.

First off, if you like to participate in challenges, I'm hosting the "It's All About Me" challenge for the month of April. I'm looking for willing victims to play along and create a layout that shows us how you pamper yourself. Sounds like fun, right! Here's my layout to get you thinking.

Also, tomorrow is Friday and that means we have a Friday freebie and this one is too tempting to pass up. Miss Erin from Miss Erin's Scraps has put together a wonderful kit with 10 papers and 33 elements and I have a sneak peak for you. Looks tempting doesn't it?

$1 Wednesday at Scrapable

Just a quick post to let you know what I am participating in $1 Wednesday's at Scrapable again this week. I'm repeating the doggie/kitty kits from last week and I'm adding 2 more. This is a great opportunity to snag up some of my WordArt for only $1. I'm working on several new kits as we continue with the theme of Spring and then I'll move on to Babies/Kids, which is the next biggest vote in the poll on the right. I'm also working on our next Collaboration kit for Scrapable, which has a color swatch of 10 colors and the theme of "One Kit Fits All Families." Sound interesting doesn't it? I'm going to focus on incorporating some WordArt that better reflects some of today's family dynamics such as extended families, step-parents, step-children and so on. I think it's going to be a unique kit so look for that in May. If you click on the image it will take you directly to the $1 Wednesday category.

Scrapable Happenings

Couple of things to share with you that are happening at Scrapable - Digi Scrap Paradise. First, if you register in the forum or "Island Mingling" as we like to refer to it, you will be eligible to snag a freebie every Friday from one of the talented designers in paradise. Cool right! You have to be logged in to see the thread each week so ride the wave and get registered. We love tourists!

Also, starting April 1st, registered members or "tourists" will receive an awesome birthday surprise on their birthday. We are putting together the final pieces to a Mega Birthday Celebration Collaboration to celebrate your birthdays. And each year, the kit will change so the following year when your birthday rolls around, you'll receive a brand new Mega Birthday Collaboration. How cool is that!

Don't forget tomorrow is the blog train at Digi Scrap Shop and I've seen some more of the previews now - you're going to be happy you stopped by. Everyone is being very generous so it's worth the trip and I hear that there will be a cool alpha to match the theme, which is "Spring Fever."

$1 Wednesday's

Hi guys! Hope everyone is finding some fun goodies on the St. Pat's Blog Train. Just a quick post to let you know that today is $1 Wednesday's at Scrapables. I have all my fall and winter WordArt packs included in the sale so now's the time to snag them. If you click on the image it will take you to sale section in the store. I also wanted to share with you this adorable kit by Spinky Dinky Scraps titled "Fly Me To The Moon," which is also included in today's sale. It's an adorable kit and it's only $1 today only. Here is a layout created using the kit. Couple of cutie pies!

I also wanted to share with you two layouts that were added to the guestbook recently. This first one was created by Shellebee75 with a nice photo extraction. Really nice job!

This one was created by Rebecca and I thought it was a really nice example of taking a black and white photo and adding a hint of color to certain elements. Aren't they a handsome couple!? Love the use of my WordArt in this layout.

Scrapable's $1 Wednesday

Looking for a nice deal? Scrapable's has $1 Wednesday's and today there are several Quick Pages made with the March Collaboration included in the sale. I know we have a lot of pet lovers so I wanted to share this preview with you. Spinky Dinky Designs has a new kit titled "Wild Kitty" and she's included it in $1 Wednesdays so for today only you can get this great kit for only $1. Issues Resolved - Store Re-Opened

The issues have been resolved at Scrapable's so the Grand Opening Sale has resumed. In addition, the sale has been extending to March 9, 2009. So surf on over and check out the store, there are some great deals and some really talented ladies waiting for you in paradise.

Store Temporarily Closed - Bummer!

Quick note to let you know that after all my gushing yesterday about Scrapable's Grand Opening Sale the store experienced a hiccup and is temorarily down. So sorry! We are in the process of correcting the problem and I'll let you know when we are back up and running.

Clue Revealed - Exciting News!

Ok, I left you a clue the other day with my little hula girl - did anybody figure out what I might have been referring too? Am I going on vacation, no. Am I taking hula lessons, no. Am I moving somewhere tropical, I wish but sadly, no. Hmm .... what could it be! Well, I'm really excited to share with you that I have been invited to sell my designs at a new store called Scrapable, Digi Scrap Paradise. I'm really excited about this store because it has a "paradise" theme and who wouldn't want to spend a little time in paradise, right?

Everything about the store is influenced by the theme from the graphics, to the designers. We are known as Cabana girls, and the CT members are known as Hula girls and they do some awesome work with the designers kits. There is also a forum or Island Mingling where you will find lots of information about the store and other goodies or you can mingle with the locals. Also be sure to visit the gallery or Visitor's Album where you can show off some of your layouts using the designer's kits or just browse for inspiration.

And there's more! If you like to participate in challenges then Scrapable, Digi Scrap Paradise offers visitors a chance to particpate in many activities to keep you entertained. This month we have a Treasure Hunt, a Sing-a-Long, Fun in the Sun and many more activites as part of the monthly challenges where you can earn leis (points). The more leis you earn the faster you earn a traveler's check to the store!

And that's not all, each month one of the Cabana Girls (designers) will design a Desktop Calendar for free. That's right, I said free! Here's the preview to this month's calendar.
