The Power of YOUth Collaboration Kit

Phew!  We finally got a break from that oppressive heat wave and now we can actually enjoy some summertime fun outside again.  I don’t know about where you live but here in Michigan, just about every county around us is well into their county fair activities and that means plenty of 4-H activities.  Since I grew up in a rural area, I remember as a kid going to the fair every summer and walking through all the animal barns and visiting all the other 4-H exhibits, which was a big part of our county fair. 

I recently had an opportunity to work with a fellow designer at GingerScraps, Rachel a/k/a Pretty In Green on a collaboration kit. As we were brain storming for idea, she came up with a 4-H themed kit and even though it was a bit out of my comfort zone, I decided it would be a fun challenge so The Power Of YOUth was born.

The kit itself contains 29 papers and 50 elements and was a bit of a challenge  because we had to be careful not to use their federal protected logo or the words 4-H or4-H Club but I think we did a great job of getting the theme across without using those items/terms.

I also have a set of decorated wordart and an alpha to go with the kit.

And Rachel has an awesome set of painted cardstock and a set of layout templates.

My Lemonade Stand & a freebie!

Howdy! And happy weekend. Finally, after a rainy, dreary week here in Michigan we are enjoying a beautiful day filled with sunshine, nice temperatures and a lovely breeze. Since the week was so dreary, I needed something to cheer me, so I starting playing around and My Lemonade Stand was born. Is everyone ready for Christmas? I'm not, I've been spending too much time on the computer and now my window of opportunity is starting to close around me. Only 1 week to go and so much to do. At least, I got my Christmas cards out early this year. Do you want to see it? We decided to skip the family photo this year, which always included the dogs and go for something more traditional. So I used my "Old-Fashioned Holiday" kit to create this card.

New Release and a Freebie

Hello, hello, hello! It's been beautiful here in Michigan the past couple of days so we've been busy getting our lawn work done now that my hubby is feeling better. He still tires pretty easy but he's happy to be out of the house a bit and feeling like he's able to accomplish things again. I've been busy designing also and I have a few new releases to tell you about.

So remember the sneak peek I gave you last week, well here's the full reveal along with several coordinating pieces. 2 New Products and 2 Haunting QP's

Good afternoon everyone. The weather here in Michigan is unseasonably cold and we saw a few snow flurries early yesterday morning. I'm not ready for another winter like last winter. Brrr! Apparently, we have a small warming trend coming that will put us back into the 60's and sunny so I am so looking forward to some nicer weather and pumpkin picking in the sunshine.

I released 2 new products yesterday that are on sale through the weekend at 25% off. A wordart pack titled "Spooktacular" and some vintage Halloween chipboard signs. I love vintage graphics so I had a lot of fun playing around with these.
