Whew! There is a lot going on!

Here we are the first of April and doesn't it feel great. The weather here in Michigan has just been gorgeous this week. We spent the first part of the week at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor because my Father was suppose to have surgery for the repair of 2 abdominal aortic aneurysms. However, as they prepped him for surgery, they got some blood work back that indicated there was a problem with his blood palettes being two low, or so they thought, so the surgeon called off the surgery for fear that he might bled out on the table. Needless to say it was an emotional rollercoaster of a day and unfortunately, we have to do this all over again in a week. My Father has already had a valve replaced and a triple bypass and then a second surgery to repair an aneurysm on the back side of his heart so he knows the drill but this surgery is going to be more serious because of where these two new aneurysms are located. We are of course happy that they are being cautious but it was such a let down for my Father because emotionally, he was all ready to go and get this over with.

Anyhoo, I have a bunch of information to pass along to you and a freebie. Woo-Hoo! First off, I wanted to share with you the story of Layla Grace, who was an adorable 2 year old girl that recently passed away from Stage 4 Neuroblastoman. Her families story has touched the hearts of all who have read her Mothers blog, which you can find
here. Many of the designers at Enchanted Studio Scraps wanted to help so they put their time and talent into a mega collaboration kit that includes 52 papers, 116 elements, glitter styles, an alpha and a set of layout templates with 100% of the proceeds going to help her family with the numerous medical bills. Here is the preview to the kit and if you are interested in helping the family by purchasing this kit, you can click on the image to visit the store.

The start of the month means another Colour Challenge at Enchanted Studio Scraps, which I host the first part of every month. I choose to use the color swatch from the charity kit this month because it contains some bright, happy colors so if you are interested in playing along, please stop by the forum here for all the fun.I'm also hosting a template challenge as part of Scrappity-Doo-Dah's 1 Year Birthday Celebration. Each of the designers has selected a day for a special sale and fun activities and tomorrow, April 2nd is my day. Yippee! Who doesn't love a Template Challenge? It's your chance to snag a free layout template and show off your design skills as you personalize it to make it our own. Here is the preview to the template I put together and if you are interested in joining us, please visit me in the forum here.

I also have my store on sale as part of Scrappity-Doo-Dah's 1 Year Birthday Celebration. Everything is 50% off for one day only. That's right, half off! Now if you haven't snagged my new kit Spring's Renewal and that yummy matching alpha, now's your chance to get it at a steal.

Here's a layout I put together quickly using the layout template and the Spring Fever Mini Kit that was part of the March Mega Grab Bag at Scrappity-Doo Dah. Now that the bag has been split up, I am offering it as a mini-kit exclusive to my store at Scrappity-Doo-Dah and with the 50% off you can get it for only $1.25.

Whew! I'll bet you never thought I would stop talking and get you that freebie. Here's a little something for your Easter Day layouts. Happy Easter everyone! CraftCrave

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my freebie. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I enjoyed designing it for your scrapbook layouts.
