Paper bits wrapped in a hug

It's still very cold here in Michigan but I hear we have a heat wave coming when we're back in the upper 20's at the end of next week. Woo-hoo! Compared to our recent temperatures, it will be down right balmy. So since it's been so cold, I've been spending a lot of time, indoors, on the computer playing around. Today, I have something a little different for you -- hope you guys don't mind being my guinea pigs? I've been wanting to do some paper bits with words on them for awhile so I experimented with some craft paper styles. I wanted it to resemble some scrap pieces of paper layered together to make a quote come alive and I think it turned out pretty cool, what do you think? I love reading your comments because it gives me that much needed feedback to know what's good and what's not.

Sorry - this link has expired but a version will be available in the store soon.

I have some news also. I'm going to participate in the Lucky Blog Train sponsored by Scrappin' Bratz. I will post more information on this when we get closer to the date but already 27 designers have joined the list of contributors so it should be packed with all kinds of great stuff. If you want to check out some of the designers that will be contributing the link is http://luckyblogtrain.blogspot.com/ I'll be posting a blinkie also with the link as a reminder that the train is coming.

Speaking of St. Pat's Day, here in Bay City, we have the Saginaw River that runs through town and then makes it way out to the Saginaw Bay and eventually out into Lake Huron. Well someone here in town is trying to get the OK to dye the river green for St. Pat's like they do in Chicago. The Saginaw River is known for it's problems, mostly due to contaminents from Dow Chemical, and the lovely shade of dirty brown water so everybody wants to know, what color do you get when you mix green with brown? Yucky seems to be the common sentiment. Apparently, it is possible to make it green so it will be very interesting if it comes to light and I'll be sure to get some pictures.
