New Kit, Big Sale, and a Freebie!

I've been a busy girl! I had so much fun putting together the Independence kit that I decided to jump into another one. Since we have two dogs in our household, this one was a natural for me but I had a little trouble deciding on a name so I borrowed a few words from the quote "Cats Rule, Dogs Drool" to come up with the title. Not to offend all the cat people out there, I just happen to be one of those dog people so of course, Dogs Rule! I also decided to do something special and offer free personalized dog tags with the name of your dog(s) with purchase. Here is the preview to Dog Rules along with the paper preview and the Special Offer.
I've also started a series of wordart packs titled "Lil' Thoughts" with the first one focusing on the faithful companion in your family. It contains one word thoughts designed to resemble those black/white or transparent stickers you see in sheets for traditional scrapbooking.
Now for the really good news! We are having a big sale at Scrapable starting tomorrow and we're calling it our "Celebrate Freedom Sale" where you will enjoy the freedom of regular prices with 35% off from July 1 - 5th. So what are you waiting for? You can snag my new kits at a great price and the sale is storewide so you'll find all kinds of goodies.

Oh, I almost forgot I have some other news to share. During the month of July, I'm sharing the spotlight at Scrapable with my friend and fellow designer, Laurinda as
Featured Designer(s). Woo-Hoo! As part of the festivities, we've put together a collaboration kit that is available for free to registered forum members. Here's how it works: Each Wednesday during the month of July, pieces of this kit will be available for free download. Here's a preview of the whole kit.
This is the preview for Week 1, which will be available tomorrow. You can follow this link for the download but you have to be registered in the forum in order to access. Registration is easy though and it comes with it's own rewards. I'll try to remind you each Tuesday night about the next week's download along with that weeks preview.
Now on to the freebie. Since I have puppies on the brain, I have a dog related freebie for you tonight.Have a safe and happy 4th of July weekend everyone.

New Kits and a 4th of July Freebie

Whew! It's is boiling here in Michigan. High today was projected to be in the 90's but after the awful winter and cool spring, I'm ready for warmer temperatures. I'm see by the downloads and comments that you like the BBQ wordart freebie from last week. I hope it came in handy for those Father's Day BBQ's that seem to be a tradition in many families. I'd love for you to share some of your layouts with me. I'd also like to thank you for you words of hope and encouragement as I confessed by foul mood to you all during my last post. One of the things I love so much about the digi community is that it is full of caring people. So again, I thank you. Now on to some good news. I've been toying with the idea of designing some digitial kits to give myself a challenge and something else to do besides just wordart. So I decided to jump in and create a kit for the Fourth of July or as I've titled it "Independence." I've just finished adding this new kit to my store and I've created a coordinating wordart pack to go along with it. Here's my previews -- what do you think!
I also have a plain version of this wordart pack.
Here is a piece of the wordart from the decorated kit for you to enjoy.

Ready for Summer?

Hello everyone! I must start off with an apology because it's been awhile since I've posted on my blog. I've been in a bummer of a mood and it has effected my creative spirit. My hubby and I are really struggling to keep our business together during this recession so we have been under a lot of stress and unfortunately, it hit me hard last week. Spent a few days feeling sorry for myself, which is really not like me because I'm usually very optimistic but I'm better now and I'm working really hard to get past these feelings.

Any hoo, enough of that depressing stuff. Summer is officially right around the corner, although you would not know it here in Michigan because we've had a chilly Spring. Despite the chilly temperatures, we haven't let that stop us for enjoying some barbecue, which inspired me to create some wordart. I have three quick ones to share with you today.

Don't forget, I'm hosting 2 challenges at Scrapable this month, Lazy Day and Island Manuscript and I would love for you to stop by and play along. I offered to turn this into a blog contest for everyone by posting your layouts here and the winner receiving a store coupon but so far I haven't gotten any takers. Come on, I know you guys aren't that shy! Both of these challenges are easy and fun. Lazy Day, is basically a scraplift. I picked a layout from the gallery for us to scraplift and you just have to make your own version of the layout. And the Island Manuscript is really easy, you just need to use a font that I have selected on your layout. It's fun and funky and you'll have a lot of fun figuring out how to use it on you layout.

Enjoy the freebies and have a great day!

New Kits and a T.G.I.F. sale

I added two more wordart packs to my store just in time for Father's Day. Both packs are titled "Fatherhood" with a plain and a decorated version available. I'm really excited about the decorated version because I got to play around with a new kit from Teri's Thing-O-My-Jigs titled "Weekend Getaway." Teri was nice enough to offer me her kit to create some wordart and we both thought it would be perfect for Father's Day because of it's rich colors and masculine feel. Here are the previews:And here is the preview to Teri's full kit.Tomorrow we starting a weekly sale at Scrapable titled "T.G.I.F. where you will find many of the designers creating sales for Friday only. Yes, this includes me. Tomorrow you will find several of my new kits 50% off for one day only. Here's a preview of what you will find on sale, which includes all my newest kits.

Fatherhood

I spent most of the afternoon shopping for flowers for all my various flower boxes and hanging basket. After going to three different locations, I finally returned home with a nice mix of planting materials but it wasn't easy. Here in Michigan, we've had a chilly Spring so I waited to do my planting only to find things picked over. I then spent close to three hours getting everything planted before it rained. Whew! I need a nap.

I'm working on another wordart pack for Father's Day that will hopefully be ready for Tuesday's new release day so I thought I would sneak in another freebie I whipped up for you.

Speaking of Dad ....

Since we are on the subject of Dad, I whipped up a quick wordart pack and added it to my store today. This kit is titled "D is for Daddy" or in my case, Daddy! No matter what my age, my Father will always be know as Daddy. In addition, since my store is marked 50% off through Sunday, you can get this new release for only $1.50. Woo-Hoo! I wanted to take a minute and show you a few lei-out made by our CT members at Scrapable. This one is from DigiChic using Laurinda's "Cowboy Up" Kit and the WordArt pack "Cowboy Up" that I designed using Laurinda's kit. Isn't this a cute page? Here's another one with the same kit created by ValeriGirl. Now this one was created by MsBrad and she used a piece out of my "Motherhood" wordart pack to design this lei-out. Enough with the show and tell. Have good evening. I'll have another Father's Day freebie this weekend.

Looking Up To Dad

If you haven't been here since my blog makeover, what do you think? I found a great resource with information on how to customize Blogger so I've been playing, and tweaking, and having fun with my blog makeover. In addition, if you missed my last post, it's full of information on the challenges I'm hosting this month at Scrapable and my Exclusive Designer sale that runs through this coming Sunday. So be sure to check it out. Everything in my store is 50% off including those items already marked down for retirement. I've been working on some Father's Day wordart for my store so I thought I would sneak in a Father's Day freebie for everyone. I love this little quote because it reflects my feelings toward my own Father. As we discussed last month for Mother's Day, I don't have a relationship with my Mother but my Father has always been there for me whenever I have needed anything. He was both a Mother and a Father to me and my sister when we were growing up and I respect and admire everything he has done for us. So in honor of my Father, here is a little freebie I whipped up for everyone.

**Click on image to download**Hey, don't forget that it's $1 Wednesdays at Scrapable and the offerings today are full of great stuff as we have added some new designers to the store. And the kit, I used to create the layouts in my last post "Spinky Spanky" by Spinky Dink Scraps is on sale as well for just $1.
I don't remember if I mentioned this so I'm going to post the ad for our new Store Collaboration kit titled "Pink Punk'in" that is on sale for $6.00, which in itself is a great prices considering how packed it is with great stuff but it comes with an additional Store Collaboration kit for free -- your choice!

Have a great evening!
